The next morning came fast and I was ready for it. I found my spot at 69th and Central Park West around 7:20 in the morning. Along with tons of other people who had the same idea only didn't sleep as much, but I was near a really nice family with kids and adults and were the sweetest people ever. The Parade was great, while if I ever do it again I might find a spot on a porch or balcony. It was still great to see the balloons up close, get to feel the magic and in this years Macy's theme "Believe". I did get to meet up with another old friend, Tim who I graduated High School with 10 years ago my how time flys. We had Thanksgiving Dinner at Dallas BBQ and it was great tons of food and good atmosphere. To close out the New York Portion of the trip I saw American Idiot (See Note 2 below), now let me be clear I enjoyed it and it was great, but I can tell you if you aren't familiar with the music you may not like it. The cast had tremendous energy and put a show on for the Thanksgiving crowd that rocked, and I can say I did have the time of my life.
Well Friday morning has come and I was packed and ready to go to see someone I haven't scene since Puerto Rico my Canadian "wife" Natasha, long story only those that know me understand it. So she picked me up at the airport and after some much needed hugging we headed for Downtown Toronto. After catching up and having a few beverages in the hotel lobby, we went to eat at Spice Route ay really good asian bistro place. I got to meet Tim her boyfriend who I really loved and is a great guy. The next day was my first time to play Tourist in Toronto, I have been before but never got to enjoy the city. So off to the CN Tower, what an awesome view it was. I even stood on the glass floor. So Creepy! Any way, I decided to do an hour and half tour of Toronto learn some history get to the more of the town. That night was the Calvacade of Lights ceremonies at Nathan Phillips Square which is there tree lighting ceremony, and I have to say it stunk. I hate to write that but it just was not up to par for what could have been a great buildup. That night Natasha and I ventured out, after having some hotel beverages. The book is by Green Day's lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong and the production is directed by Michael Mayer.
